BookWorm Gardens 2010 - UW Sheboygan Campus

Toys for Tots - 2007 & 2008
Collect barrels of toys to help children in Sheboygan County have at lease one toy for Christmas.
Salvation Army House of Food - Since 2006
Colleced barrels of food to build a "House of Food" at the 2006, 2007, 2008 Home Builders Expo for the Salvation Army food pantry.
Helping Hammers "The Rooker Project" 2006 (Before and After)
Helped renovate an elderly gentleman's home to allow him to return home for his 80th birthday.
Girls Scout Camp - 2005 through 2008
Provided labor to build two cabins in one weekend in the spring of 2005,2006, 2007 & 2008 for the Manitou Girl Scout Camp.
Playground Workshop - 2002
The members will construct a child’s wheel chair accessible “workshop” for a Plymouth City park. This is our current community project and will be presented to the City of Plymouth at our 2002 Home Expo Show in April.
“Building Careers Grant” Program - since 2002
Each high school technical education program in Sheboygan County is invited to apply for grant money to purchase needed tools and/or equipment for their Technical Education classes. Each school applying for a grant is requested to provide class time to allow representatives of our industry in to talk to the students about the careers available in home building. Grant money is awarded based on need and funds available. We hope to include job shadowing in the program and also provide the in school portion to the middle schools in the future.
“Homes of Our Own” Program - 1995 - 2011
This program is presented annually to third grade students in Sheboygan County. Our members visit classrooms and relate how the construction industry is involved in the conservation of trees. A tree and color book is given to each student. Over 8,000 students have been Involved in the program since it’s inception. Our association has received national awards for our coordination of this program. The first class of third grade students we visited with are now freshmen in high school.
Blue Line Ice Arena- ongoing
In kind contributions of labor & materials from our members to finish offices, kitchen area, pro shop, storage rooms, conference rooms and dining area and ad a heating system..
Scholarship Program - 1995 through 2001 and 2007 to present
Annual scholarships are provided to one or two high school seniors continuing their education in a field relating to the home building industry .
Sheboygan North & South Project(s) 98, 99, 2000, 2005 & 2008
Annual booth space provide at no charge at our “Home Expo” Show to present to the community information on their Project homes.
Plymouth High School-Technical Ed. Project
Financial contribution was made to purchase tools and materials for the “Mock Home” building project.
Boys & Girls Club
Financial contribution to aid in the purchase of computers.
Survive Alive Fire Houses
Financial contribution to help purchase a new truck to pull the Survive Alive House
House on wheels for fire safety education of elementary age children.
