Spike Club
What is a Spike?
As a SCHBA member you have probably read or heard about spike credits or spike parties or someone reaching a spike level and may have wondered just what exactly is a spike and how do I get one?
The Spike Club from NAHB is the recognition and incentive program for individual members honoring them for recruiting and sponsoring new association members. Based on credits earned, there is a progressive program of awards including pins, certificates, plaques, sweaters, and blazers. For each new member you sponsor in the SCHBA you receive 1 spike credit. For each renewal of any members you have sponsored you receive ½ credit. And, once you have reached a level of 6 spike credits within a 2 year period, you are a member of the NAHB Spike Club.
Spike Achievement Levels
Spike Candidate – 1 to 5 credits
Blue Spike – 6 to 24 credits
Life Spike – 25 to 49 credits
Green Spike – 50 to 99 credits
Red Spike – 100 to 149 credits
Royal Spike – 150 to 249 credits
Super Spike – 250 to 499 credits
Statesman Spike – 500 to 999 credits
Grand Spike – 1000 to 1499 spikes
All-Time Big Spike – 1500+
